DIY CONCRETE SERVING PLATE

Här är ett enkelt DIY projekt för dig som gillar betong lika mycket som jag gör. Vad du behöver:

Matolja

Trälack/Betonglack

Armeringsjärn (tjockare hönsnät el. lik)

Välj helt enkelt ut en passande form, jag tog en större plastbalja med rektangulär botten, och gnid in den med matolja. Se till att den är helt ren. Blanda betong enligt paket, använd finare betong, det går att köpa på vilka bygghandelsbutiker som helst. Täck botten ca 1 cm med betongmassan, lägg därefter på armeringsjärn, jag valde ett tjockare, hårdare hönsnät. Häll därefter på ca 1 cm betongmassa till tills du får önskad tjocklek, se till att armeringen inte syns igenom på någon sida. Skaka betongen i ca 5-10 min tills du tror att du har fått ut det mesta av luftbubblorna, detta är mycket viktigt då bubblorna annars gör betongen porös! Vänta ca 1 dygn innan betongen stelnat och tvätta den varsamt. Låt torka. Gnid in betongen med matolja, låt torka. Måla på med ett lager trälack eller betonglack (semimatt eller liknande). Låt torka och använd som serveringsbricka!

Translation: Here's a simple DIY project for those of you that likes concrete as much as I do. This is what you need:

Molding Tub

Concrete

Bucket

Scoop/Stick

Ordinary cooking oil

Tree or concrete lacquer 

Concrete steel (thicker wire netting or similar)

Choose a fitting tub for your project, I choosed a bigger plastic tub with a rectangular bottom, then rub it with oil. See to it that it is clean before you start. Mix your concrete according to the package, use a finer type of conrete which can be bought in any store that sells building material. Cover the bottom of the tub with approximatley 1cm of concrete, then put the concrete steel and after that pour additional concrete till you get the thickness that you desire, note that the steel should be placed in the middle of the concrete, and make sure that it doesn't show from any angle. Shake the concrete in 5-10 min to diminish the amount of air bubbles, this is highly important for your concrete not to be porous. Wait for the concrete to dry for approximatley 24h and then cleanse it carefully, dry again. Rub the concrete with oil, then dry again. Paint a layer with lacquer (semi matte or similar). Dry it and then use it as your serving plate!
